PROFOR's 2012 advisory board meeting was held at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization office in Rome. The PROFOR Secretariat reported on activity outcomes of the preceding calendar year and sought guidance and decisions from the Board on a range of issues. Shaping the Global Agenda for Forests and Climate Change Olive Convention Center Forest Day 5 coincided with the UNFCCC Conference of Parties 17 in Durban, South Africa. Like previous influential editions, the conference sought to inform the global debate on forests and climate change, with a particular focus on Africa. Defining a new research agenda for Africa's dry forests Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel, Durban The symposium provided a global platform for representatives from the research and development sector to openly discuss the challenges and opportunities faced in the sustainable use of dry forests, within broader agricultural landscapes.
